Gave up trying to navigate Symantec's site for a forum so here I am-again.
Just updated from Norton Internet Security 2005 to 2007.
Finally found the option to disable virus check for Office Applications.
Excel now opens without the delay: no virus check.
The problem is that Word still has to go through a virus check before fully opening.
Can anyone suggest what to do? There is only one "check box" in the options and not a specific one for each of the office programs.
