When photographing, what is your favorite subject or situation to photograph? Maybe you like photographing everything equally or maybe you have a preference, just curious as to what each of us really enjoy the most. For me it's scenic shots (landscape) with water, mountains, buildings, trees, etc. I like it all but if I had to choose that would be it. If you have more than one favorite, then please do choose each one. Maybe we could all share one of our own favorite pics from the category we have chosen. Just a thought! Thanks. :)

Some what hard to choose just one topic, maybe it should have been what are you shooting now. When I first starting shooting pictures it was people only as my camera only had one fixed lens and being 8 years old I could only afford to shot B&W (127mm flim). Then after buying my first 35mm Argus C3 with filters, light meter, tripod and flash (25b blub) from a garage sale, everything I shot was wide angle (again only one lens) shots of buildings, signs or anything that was in my view. Then after buying my first 35MM SLR it was telephoto shot, zoom in as close as possible, tunnel vision shooting. Then it was back to shooting people with the a medium format C330 (120mm flim) with three lenses doing Wedding or anything that had a lot of people (sure the free food and drink was nice) gather together. Then after getting tired of hang overs I started doing B&W fine art photography which meant I was back to shooting wide angle shots of things again. Then I had kids and everything went to snap shots, sold all my professional equipment gave up life with photography. Now the kids are growing up and don't want me around as much (they still need money) it's back to photography but just what will I shoot in this stage of life, who cares as long as I am out there shooting again.
Definitely Flowers for me......... such diversity in them...:)

This time of year there are no Flowers. About the only thing would be Birds, but they are usually to far away. As far as People are concerned, I live Alone and don't go anywhere except to the Store.

Like Bruce says...this time of year is hard for me...so I just put the camera on the tripod, and shoot out the back window at my 4 legged friends

Nice pictures Brian. :)
Judy, that is gorgeous! It almost looks like a painting the way the clouds are. And, you even got the flag where it's showing the maple leaf. :D
My favorites to take are scenery and flowers, also.

Same here. There seems to always be some sort of critter in our back yard.I enjoy taking animal pics in their natural habitat. And that isn't always easy unless you can shoot them from behind your windows, once they spot you they are gone.Don't always have the time to check out your backgrounds and such first.I have found shooting birds in flight are the hardest for me,they are so unpredictable and you have to be camera ready.I have to hand it to all the bird photographers! These deer I shot yesterday were up on a huge hill along the four- lane highway, they spotted us so they went up into the weeds. Not sure if it's the way she is standing or what but she looks kind of thin. They should be having fawns in a few months, you would think she would be a little heavier.Been a rough winter for them. The geese were along the highway as well.We managed to nurse a hungry turkey back to health, then she brought these 3 of her friends to the feeder. They show up here twice a day now.I enjoy landscapes and sunsets too and close ups of flowers.

I enjoy shooting flowers, but sometimes happen across an event that is just to interesting to pass up. I was about half a block away when I shot this one.

Thanks John & Pam. It is very nice Craig and the locations is breathtaking as you stand there at the top and look down on the Bras d'or Lakes but it's not his home, it's his museum. Alexander Graham Bell's estate, Beinn Breagh, is located in Baddeck, C.B. Below I have posted some interesting links about Bell and there in the slideshow you will see his home estate. :)

DID YOU KNOW?:
Bell was one of the cofounders of the National Geographic Society, and he served as its president from 1896 to 1904. He also founded the Journal of Science in 1883.
When Alexander Graham Bell died on August 4, 1922, millions of phones went dead. In Bell's honor, all phones served by the Bell System in the USA and Canada went silent for one minute.
Long before Alexander Graham Bell filed a patent application in 1875, Daniel Drawbaugh claimed to have invented the telephone. But since he had no journal or record, the Supreme Court rejected his claims by four votes to three. Alexander Graham Bell had excellent records and was awarded the patent for the telephone.
Bell was granted 18 patents in his name, and 12 he shared with collaborators

I have no favorite subject- just whatever strikes my fancy and presents itself to the lens of the camera. These look much better before resizing.
