A quick and easy way to back to a starting point after you have searched across many pages, for example while browsing a search engine, is to right click on the back button. This gives you a drop down list back several pages from which to choose. Clicking on the lowest page, then right clicking on the back button lists more back pages from that point.:)

Your right it is a great tip. in fact a just used it, and it works perfectly! If you are in Internet Explorer, the back button is in the upper left hand corner under an arrow pointing to the left. It's just under FILE!
The Back Button is on one of the Internet Explorer Toolbars.

Thanks: but I knew about that one. In another thread someone talked about using a back key on the keyboard. Maybe I misunderstood.
Thanks for your posts. :D
Raridn, the back button is in the upper left in the tool bar, or second row. russ

You said you thought you had heard people talk about a back button on the keyboard. They probably have an internet keyboard. I have one and it has the BACK, FORWARD, CUT, COPY,PASTE, etc. buttons on it! It is a lot handyier than using the mouse. That may have been what they were talking about!!!!
I would never laugh at anyone asking questions that seem obvious to others, when I first got my computer, I lost my START button and had to call Tech Support for them to tell me how to find it!!!!!! Judyatjadie
You can also use the arrow between the back and forward button at top left of tool bar to get a drop down menu of the previously viewed pages. This is really useful when you get one of those stubborn sites that want to hold you hostage and not allow you to use your back button.

I would not recomend doing this.........As there is a security issue in all ie web browsers.......Using the back button.......
It would be better to use hictory or reload the URL........

www.iLor.com is a search engine and it either uses or used to use Google.
When you do a search with iLor it returns the normal page with all those hits on it. However, when you go to click on one of them, you get a little drop-down menu with a number of choices. One is to anchor that page and go to your selection (the main page then goes to your task bar) or it will add that selection to a list that will appear on your screen. You can add as many selections as you wish to the list and then use the list to continue your search.
I hope all this makes sense. :-)
