Hi,

Regarding the mandatory download of IE 7 (unless you've turned off automatic updates). I am currently still using IE 6, but have actually downloaded IE 7 several times. However every time I did, whenever I tried to turn off or re-start my computer, I would get one of those pop up boxes that says a program hasn't closed and gives the choice to either "end now" or wait so that you don't lose info. I think the program it says that didn't close is explorer.exe. My computer tech at work said that WASN'T Internet Explorer, even though the program was called explorer.exe. Now, my question is, how do I get this to stop when I download IE 7 on 2/12. On IE 6, it's never done that, but EVERY time I've tried IE 7, I get this. :(

Any help you could give me would be most appreciated.

Thanks so much, in advance! :)

Leslie

I don't have any ideas for fixing the problem you mention. However, I can suggest you post this in the PC Ask & Answer Questions forum. You'll get a much better response there as fewer people read this forum. G'luck!

Thanks, DustyLady. I've posted it on the PC Ask & Answer Questions Forum as you suggested. Hopefully, someone there can be of assistance. :)

Thanks for your advice. :)
