Jerew after you get your photo uploaded put a check mark in the square then go all the way down till you see generate img or html clik on that then when it finishes scroll down to the on that says recommended highlight it and right click and pick copy then come here and paste it.

That snake was in my big Gardenia bush at my front porch... He (or she , I wasn't that close)was not bothered by my picture taking.
OK...Thanks Harley and Wesran. I am encouraged. I shall try another post..Harley how did you get the picture? Also I did resize the picture first as Mon advised but of course I didn't work that procedure right..further down the lessons. Jere

Wesran I did check the square and then scrolled down to"generate img or html " but all those blocks were grayed out and not able to check..so couldn't continue to the highlight as you instructed. I know I am doing something wrong. I am going to try and post another picture..same way as before so here goes...Jere

Same problem ..guess I don't understand what Harley said about the first tag.
This is hard for dummies like me..
PS. Bet this picture (if there is one) is really big.

Jerew-
You link, as you posted it:
IMG]http://i89.photo...
and as Harley corrected it:
[IMG]http://i89.photo...
What he meant is that you didn't enclose the IMG tag in the brackets []. You were missing the first one.

Jere, right under the picture you want to post there is a little square box, you have to put a check mark in that little box~if you don't the "generate" will be grayed out. When you click "generate" you will get several options, choose "image for message boards" or "thumbnails" and left click it, it will automatically pop up a little yellow box that says "copied"~~now come into WS and right click paste it in your message. HTH :)

Just click where it says "direct link" under the thumbnail of you pic & it will copy the photo's URL to your clipboard. You don't have to generate anything if you want to post your photo directly into the thread.
Very nice snake pic... do you know what kind it is?

Thanks MNGAL and MOM...I appreciate all the help..I get discouraged with my stupidity but I see no sense in having a computer and not learning how to use it, so I keep trying till I "get it"
A friend said it was a King snake..."a friendly snake" I answered "There is no friendly snake"...jere

He doesn't look very "friendly" to me either, in fact, he looks downright mean.
jere, jere, jere, there is no "stupidity" about you. You know more about that computer than a lot of people half your age and the best thing is, if you don't know you ASK and learn. :)

First put a check in this box, (in Photobucket) of the picture you want to post.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/WrongNo2/1Buick2-1.jpg
Scroll down (in Photobucket) to this box, and click on it.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/WrongNo2/1Buick3-1.jpg
Then right click on the picture you want to post (in this case 'thumbnail') copy and past it in the message you are posting.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/WrongNo2/1Buick4-1.jpg
And this is what you get. (click on the picture for a larger view)..

Just go to your first post and edit this.

Add the bracket in front of IMG.

HI wrong #...Thanks for the help. My problem with the omitted bracket was in my highlighting (on the first post). Wesran told me to do the checking at the bottom of the page but when I scrolled down the 3 choices were grayed out..
everytime I tried..I had checked the thumbnail picture and highlighted the IMG
but still had the other grayed..So I know I am doing something wrong..the procedure seems simple enough, which doesn't speak well for my abilities. I shall try again..till I get it right and know what I am doing. Only way to learn if y'all don't mind....Jere

Try again, but this time just left click (whitch highlights) then right click, and copy, then paste into the message part of your post...(This way you get the complete 'IMG' code).
EDIT: BTW this is a picture of our 2006 Buick that I posted on another forum when they had a 'Poll' on what type car do you drive.

Jerew if you combine the pictures that Wrong posted with the other instructios you should have it. Funny, when it finally works your going to say well I knew that all the time. Good luck.
