An old buckboard wagon sits alongside an artist's gallery in the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Sepia-toned in Photoshop CS4 in keeping with the ol' timey feel of the subject...

Dare I say "COOL" ?.... :p ....... Can't say as I would blame the horses for not being hitched up to the buggy, having the "horse sense" to be in the barn with all that white "dust" around there.... :D

Thanks, folks! And it WAS cold...I even went to the local Family Dollar store to buy a pair of those wool gloves with the little rubber nubbies on them. Cut the tips off the fingers and you have great non-slip photographers gloves.

Cool finger tips.
Great picture. I really like going to places that have the old time stuff especially wagons, harness and I guess any equipment powered by real horse power.

Very pretty. The Sepia tone gave it the right touch for a rustic look.

Thanks, Kassie. I felt the same way about the Sepia treatment; this picture screamed out for an "antique" look.

Here is a copy of an original picture I have of my grandfather on my mothers side.
As far as I know I'm the only one that has one like it in the family.
It was taken when he was around 19 years old, he died in 1948 at the age of 88, so the picture was taken around 1879-1890. It is a tint on a cardboard backing..

As you see it, just ran it through my scanner and put it on Photobucket..

Love it!
Here's a pic of a wagon that sat along the old barn when we moved here. Landlord had the old barn taken down a few years ago... I literally cried that day. The wagon was moved to the one side of the pole building and this is how she looks now :(

Great shot Mom. Does any one have any idea what this wagon may have been used for as it is not the regular run of the mill wagon. Really interesting, there are a couple of features I would like to what they are. Makes the photo all the more interesting if you know something about the subject.
