edit... been doing a little searching, and apparently its a bug in ubuntu that has to do with apport-collect 930447..does anyone know how to fix this problem? so far i see the same problem, but no solution.

ok... more information.... i just found this.

what is a terminal window?
I call it CLI (command line interface) A terminal window, also referred to as a terminal emulator, is a text-only window in a graphical user interface (GUI) that emulates a console, open a terminal, by pressing the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+T from your Desktop. http://www.linfo.org/terminal_window.html. The newest version is 12.04?

PAE is.....
Phyiscal Address Extension... https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EnablingPAE/
It appears that this is a known issuse in Ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/930447
Personally I like Linux Mint http://linuxmint.com/

I'm afraid you have to be a little more specific?
I assume you mean that you are not able to get internet access.
Type in ifconfig -a in terminal and tell me what it say's
