Just received notice of a MS Security Update for Windows, 823559,
at 305 KB.

Like a stupid sh*t,I go there and it keeps telling me I have to be running a Microsoft Windows Operating System,3 times in a row I did that till I realize that I'm running Linux,I think it's time for bed LOL;)

I just happened to dialup with IE this morning. I run OPERA 90% of the time.

Thats funny I just booted back to windows xp and this is the message I still get

That's strange. Maybe the security patch is for other then Win XP.
It maybe an update for some and not all.


I received the update notice as soon as I got online. It was just a generic worded Windows Security Update, 823559.
It did not stipulate any OS versions or IE or OE.

It was a notice from the Microsoft Update Site.

I did run a NOD32 Antivirus scan and PestPatrol scan for trojans.
No problems. PC is running normally.

The update 823559 has been around for a few days now so this morning I downloaded it with no apparent problems.
I was waiting for any problems that are usually posted a couple of days after the updates show up, but there were none so it was go for it today.
