I am trying to find out if there is a way to protect a Column or Roll without having to protect the whole worksheet in Excel.
I only want one Column that cannot be changed allowing the rest of the worksheet to be worked on.

Select all columns, then right click, click on format cells, click on the protection tab, remove check in the "locked" check box, then OK out. Now select the column or cells you want to protect and do the above and check the "locked" check box.

After you're done with formula in the protected cells, go to "tools, protection, protect sheet". The cells you specified are now protected.
