I tried using the tips from Steve's site regarding how to make Windows Explorer open up at My Computer instead of the default My Documents, but it wouldn't work.
Can anyone help me with easier instructions?
WinME.
Thank you.
Why not just right click on Windows Explorer and send a "shortcut" copy to your Desktop? Then all you have to do is click on it when you want it to open. Easy, quick and readily available!!!

Bob, this is for daughter's computer.
It works ok on mine, but not hers.
Windows\explorer.exe /n,/e,/select, c:\ is what mine is listed in 'target' looking at my WE shortcut.
The attachment is fuzzy, but with my shortcut, it opens to My Computer, not My Docs.

If you want to change the default view so that the default system drive is displayed, use the following steps:
1. Click Start, point to Programs, and then point to Accessories.
2. Right-click Windows Explorer, and then click Properties.
3. In the Target box, type the following text:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n,/e
4. Click OK.

Sorry, that doesn't work. Get the following uppop:
"The name specified in the Target box "%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe" is not valid. Make sure the path and filename are correct." I typed into the Targetbox exactly what you had.
Now what? :(
OK...found this, and it works :) -
C:\windows\EXPLORER.EXE /n, /e, /select, c:\
