Hi All,
Here's a macro shot of a clematis flower, I took this hand held, so I'm pleased by the result. Camera was a Fujicolour DX10 which has a less than 1 megapixel spec very dated now by present standards.

Jaborwoc, your DX10 may be old, but still works well.

Well here is proof positive what a dunce I am. What is a macro shot?
The Nelly Moser is beautiful. We have a rather spectacular Montana Rubens growing up a dead tree. Is the Nelly Moser easier to handle as far as pruning goes? I see you have it rather compact and growing on a fence.
Forgive me for slipping a gardening question in.

Sheila,
A macro shot is an "extreme" close up as apposed to just a close up.

Hi Again all,
I can see is going to be a very popular section of WS.
Thanks to all for your comments, I'm glad you enjoyed the pics.
J_J nice shot
Whittler, I recently updated from the DX10, now have an HP Photosmart 850
You can't call it a pocket camera though. LOL
Sheila, you've been told what a macro shot is. Re the clematis, see if you
can find this book "Making the most of Clematis" by Raymond J. Evison.
Pruning Clematis is quite a complex subject depending on the type.
My wife loves them.
Brian T --- Good one
Crockett, very good, all I can say is "Hi Eye !".
JohnF --- Please help yourself, I wouldn't show it if I didn't want to share.
Many thanks for that link, I had that software a while back, but lost it and
the URL when an HDD went south on me.
jaber and Brian.......gorgeous posey shots! The detail and clarity is amazing!!!
Sheila.....don't get a complex. The more u play around with cams and programs, the better you'll get.

For y'll who like flowers This little guy lives in the deep woods of stone co. Arkansas. It is the smallest Iris I have ever seen. Now lets see if I can get the photo up.
The thing next to the Iris is my finger, & I have a small hand. The hole plant is onely 4in/12cm high.
