Macro-in the Az. desert

let's see your best. i'll have to weed thru mine but here's a quickie.
this little flower was under 3/4'' inch.

Is this a macro?
I read in another thread that a macro is an "extreme" closeup. this is a picture of an African Violet about 1 and1/2 inch across! I think I need help!

a macro is a pic taken with an extreme close focal length.
usually a few inches away from the subject. if you have a pic that is full frame and the object is small and it was taken from very close up then it's probably a macro.
i'm using an old ricoh 1.3meg that has a special setting, as most digital cameras have, to take it.
