I use Yahoo for my e-mail and my address book is stored there (and nowhere else on my computer). Can worms get into THAT address book? The reason I'm asking: I'm a teacher, and sometimes students use my computer. Now and then I get a worm/virus when a student opens an infected mail.

No, but worms and other forms of malware aren't limited to pinching addresses from the WAB - other locally stored files (documents, chat applications, etc, etc) might also be raided.
Do you have a firewall installed?

My university has a firewall, but it doesn't seem to do much good!
Thanks for the info! That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure.
