Save your pictures into a folder on your computer (My Pictures)
after you plug your camera in, double click on My Computer on desktop, then double click on camera drive, you can drag and drop your pictures into a folder you made or (My Pictures) folder, or you can open each picture, under file save as, into the folder.
I havn't seen software yet I like that comes with a camera.

Try this make sure camera is OFF plug into usb with the cable provided, turn on camera,if a screen comes up cancel it then right click my computer-explore then you will see removeable device, this will be your camera.Double click removeable device another folder will pop up double click it,there will be your pictures single click the first picture to highlight it then move up to edit, click on select all that will highlight all your pic's.then click on edit again and select cut.next step the drop down arrow click it and click on my doucments then my pictures, when you get to my pictures right click (it will be a plank page) go to new, folder.name it Birthday, flowers, whatever you want.after you name the folder double click the folder the folder will be a blank page right click and paste there comes your pictures.you can now close the pages. Importantturn off camera look in system tray near clock should be a icon about removable device double click it click stop then ok then it will say on to unplug the camera.Note:make sure you camera is off when you plug it in and off when you unplug it. Once you do this procedure a couple times it is easy.

I never use the software that comes with the cam...I always use PhotoSuiteIII to download, it has crop options that I like. I open it, and fill in the name and date and when the cam software comes up after turning on the cam, I cancel it and it downloads to PhotoSuite. I have a bunch of different folders, like UglyDogs for robs Boston Terriers.... :D :D

that's a good question Larry. Louis, are u taking the pics off when you're finished downloading? Maybe that's why they aren't there? Just a thought...

Sounds like you didn't download the driver for your camera when you installed the software. You can get it from Click Here (http://www.arguscamera.com/drivers.htm)
download it, then when you plug the usb and power to camera, it should be under My Computer.
Click WIN under DRIVER beside DC1730 download it and install.

Sorry I didn't reply for so long, but yes, the pictures are on the camrera. What happens is I go to upload them to my computer, and it says they aren't there, I reinstall the driver and it works. It kept doing that, I think it may just be a really crappy camera......
Thanks,
Louis

Louis: Do you have any other imager installed in your pc. Irfanview, Xnview, etc. Try their File, Open menus, look in My computer. It'll show you your camera icon, if it's installed right. You can grab your photos this way, hopefully!
I have nothing good to say about your camera, as I inquired of them at 3 camera stores in my city. Their comments were, to a tee...if it's not broken yet, it will be. Sorry, but that's what they told me. These weren't a Future Shop, or BestBuy either, but 100% camera sales stores. George.

Hi Louis
Sounds like you need to just get a reader and load its drivers to save all the hassle of trying to get the camera to download the photos. I use both but like the reader most of all. It don't tie up the camera or if used without the power supply, eat up batteries! I also find that it is best to not allow the computer to save ANYTHING to the memory card! I guess it is different with each type of camera.
Good luck in either choice,
Gen. D
