Shareaza - a better Peer to peer program

With the RIAA terrorists crashing into file sharing, attacking Napster, Morpheus, KaZaA.... file sharing seems to have collapsed since then. Not to mention that allot of P2P programs now have spyware in them. Well Shareaza comes to the rescue and rebuilds the file sharing community! It is a great spyware-free program that will make P2P stronger.

I've tried that program, and I didn't like it much to be honest.

Found it to be slow. But I also didn't play with the settings enough to see if I could fix it.

Well it's not perfect since sometimes it will get slow, but out of all the ones I tried it's the fastest. Kazaa used to be fast, until they got bought out by that dumb company that thinks their spyware is brilliant.

KaZaA Lite++, or it's newer version KaZaA Lite Resurrection 2.4.8 (http://www.idg.pl/ftp/pc_2673/KaZaA%20Lite%20Resurrection%202.4.8.html KaZaA Lite Resurrection 2.4.8) is spy, and adware free......always has been. Kazaa media desktop on the other hand, loaded with spyware.

I used to use Kazaa, but switched to this Shareaza program, and I must admit, I really like it!! No spyware, no ad popups and the such. I like it alot better. :)

I run KaZaA Lite ++ and love it...what is this newer version that you speak of KaZaA Lite Resururrection 2.4.8? Is it BETTER or to put it another way does it have newer features? Please advise before I d/l. Also, can I d/l right over KaZaA Lite ++ or do I have to uninstall KaZaA Lite ++ first? Thanks in advance for your reply. You can PM me if you wish!

I have both and when I click on either Kazaalite icon or Resurrection icon they both open up in Resurrection.

Tried Shareaza a couple times, did not like it at all. Kazaalite & Cleanimesh are the two programs I use.

Thanks for the good advice! I'm going to stick to Kazaalite also...I tried Shareaza to and didn't like it either - way to slow and I didn't care for the GUI. Kazaalite is very fast and it gives the user a clean interface so that it's fun to use. I found Cleanimesh to be too slow. Thanks again! :)

Well I've tried all of them at one time or another and they're all the same.............too slow for movies anyway!:(

Shareaza is fast enough if you use the bit torrent option and find the right server,but my Winmx dl a movie in under 3 hrs the other day too!

Anyone know anything about ARES? I had Kazaa Lite K++, But it got shutdown. Don't know why. Can't use it on none of my computers. Go figure.

Ares is not too bad, but if I remember well it's just yet another kazaa clone. And I find the kazaa engine to be very unreliable most of the time.

KaZaA Lite++, is the best IMO, you'll have to seach for it, they keep shutting down the download sites. :rolleyes:

I still like bearshare, FAST, but only two spyware apps, but it can get a movie in only a few hours

Ares is the best I have ever used..With cable I get any song I want in less than 2 minutes. Never slow for me.NEVER
