Ok I'm past the point of frustration here.

I cannot access https pages in IE6 but have no problem with it in Netscape.

I've changed the settings everywhich way, and have read the ms tips and suggestions and it still won't work.

It was fine till I installed the SP1 update. I've tried repair, I've tried returning to original configuration.

Nothing works.

I am thankful that I can at least view these pages in Netscape, but I don't like changing browsers

Thanks

I believe it has to do with your IE security settings. You might try a lower setting or adding a specific https site to your Trusted sites in Internet Options; Security tab.
