Gone! neither dlds. any other sites?

It`s still there just click on the large "DOWNLOAD" right under this info.

DVD Decrypter is a highly versatile VOB-ripping utility. The software takes advantage of both the DeCSS Plus and VobDec algorithms for looking up and decrypting the CSS encryption. DVD Decrypter is also multi-angle aware, and capable of removing the Macrovision scrambling key, as well as the region code during the ripping process.

If you wish to know how to use DVD Decrypter to copy DVDs to DVD-Rs, please read this guide. Also, for more assistance on DVD ripping, please visit our discussion forums.

What's new in this version? Changelog is here.

Right under here..

But there's still many ways to make backups of your DVD's fortunately... even with the latest copy protections like ARccOS™ and it's highly doubtful that SOME COMPANY will be able to close them all down. ;)

Well this is too funny...glad I got it when I did, guess I had best burn the downloads to Cds before someone decides to reach into my PC and snatch them...LOL

LOL but we shouldn't get too complacent... I don't know how long this last release of Decrypter will be good for. There's already reports of a new version of ARccOS™ that Decrypter can't handle and Macrovision's RipGuard (http://www.macrovision.com/products/ripguard/index.shtml) is about to be released.

As someone said on another forum: "Troubled times ahead young Skywalker."

Apparently, the company responsible has now been named.

Hmm, well - at least most of us had it narrowed down to 2 possibilities. ;)

Any guesses as to how long RipGuard will last before someone bypasses it now? I give it a week... and I'm being generous with that. They obviously can't have too much confidence in it after pulling this little stunt. LOL.

Update - anyone who's after a free replacement for DVD Decrypter have a look here:

http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

And it will be updated on a regular basis.

Apparently they're in China so I don't think anyone will be shutting them down anytime soon. ;)
