I thought I'd throw this question out over here --- maybe somebody knows, or knows where to find out.....

I've got a Vivitar Vivicam 3315 (1.3 Mega-pixels) -- I've had it for nearly three years now. It's out of warranty (of course!).
Anyway - the problem it seems to have is that it loses time. For example, I can set the time and date on the camera - that works fine. I can pick it up about 24 hours later, and I find the time is running slow by about 21 hours or so.
I've contacted Vivitar with the question -- asking if maybe it's got an internal battery that needs to be replaced. I got a standard canned response -- send it to us along with $5........
It's not worth it to me to pay for shipping both ways - PLUS repair costs just for that.
It's not a huge deal -- I can live with that if I must.
Back on track --- when the camera is off, it's got both batteries and the SD card still in it --- the batteries are fine -- they're even a new pair of lithium batteries. I changed them out to see if that would make any kind of difference, but nope.

I've tried a couple google searches, but didn't find anything --- yet at least!

Maybe somebody here can help!

Thanks!!!

BTF,
sounds like you have an old cam that's just wearing out.. if you look around you can probably find something on par w/it for $30 brandnew.
for what vivitar wants + postage i'll bet you can get a something even better..
i think it's time to bite the bullet and catch up with modern times if you're interested at all in photography.. JMHO
