This morning I received an email from Microsoft about security, etc.

It says that I should have MS Windows Security Center turned on. In the security Center the part the says "Change the way Microsoft Windows Security Center alerts me" is grayed out. I have "Googled", searched Microsoft and have found plenty of information on how to DISABLE, but nothing on how to ENABLE.

Go to Start/Run and enter command "Services.msc" without the quotes. Scroll down to "Security Center" and either click on "Restart the Service" in the upper left hand corner or double click on it and under "Start-Up type" make it automatic.

Yup, Bob's suggestion should fix things ... unless the machine is part of a domain.

When did MS start sending e-mails to their customers? I thought that they didn't collect any private information about us? At least that is what is says when doing updates and that is about the only time that I go there.
