Roy glad you cleared up the point that CA has to do with pruple fringing and not CAlifnoria :D . I know what fringing is but not sure what "CA" stands for, please enlighten.

chromatic aberration,
is caused by different colors of light focusing at different distances when the light passes thru a lens. that's one reason lenses are expensive. they use different types of glass to get all the colors to focus at the same distance.

Thank you, I knew that, just between the puppy crying all night and the coffee not kicking in yet I just couldn't think of chromatic aberration. To big of a word this early in the morning.

Great pictures- and the water looks so clear. It's rained so much here that lakes, ponds and rivers are muddy.

i think it's the reflection because it just finished 2 1/12 days of rain here and the water was horribly dark. it was so nice seeing it rain because we've needed it for so long..
