Rather than provide any details about the major Windows XP flaw, I'll instead point you to a utility that Steve Gibson whipped up that will let you know if your system is vulnerable and work around the issue so you are protected if you don't want to install Service Pack 1 just yet. Some of you have pointed out sites that are featuring the details, but that's not how I care to do things, so I will refrain from this practice. I'm all for freedom of information when it comes to security issues, but this one is clearly different. This isn't one that takes programming effort, ideal conditions or even a lick of knowledge about computers in general. Anyone that can type a URL is capable of damaging an unprotected XP system. As such, I'm not going to throw such details into the wind because it doesn't really serve anyone.
