Macrium OMG!!

I have been trying to figure out how to back up everything with Macrium for 2 days now I want to backup bookmarks, files, folders, settings etc.
I've watched numerous tutorials, I've gotten this far (see attachment) and I'm stumped, according to the tutorials I'm supposed to click MSR to backup everything. I dont see and cant find a MSR option.
In the wee hours of the morning I did create a bootable cd but I went to bed after.
Do I use the same cd that I created the bootable cd on to do the backup?
Please, tell me in terms a 4 yr old could understand what I need to do.

If I put my Macrium backup on a flash drive do I still need a boot cd or will flash drive restore without it?

The boot cd is in case of a major catastrophe where the machine will not boot up because of a bad infection, OS crash etc but the hard drive is still good. You put the cd in, reboot the machine to the cd, go through the restore steps where you have to browse to the image you created on that thumb drive so the thumb drive would need to be in a usb slot so the program can see it.

You can actually restore the machine from Macrium without the cd if you so choose. Open Macrium, click on Restore, it will take you through the steps where you choose the backup you have created on that thumb drive to then restore the machine.

The free edition does not give you the option to choose specific files and folders. You image the entire disk....

Where are you seeing MSR do you mean MBR?
From the attachment you have there all you need do is click on the next button.

What he is trying to backup is 29 gb's in size. Would have to be on another drive, external or internal not to a dvd as selected

Could use DVD's IF the program supports spanning...8 DVD's would be needed...

Steps to create an image

1. In Macrium click Backup then Create Image. Wizard starts, click Next

2. Select your C drive then Next

3. Select Local Hard Disk which would mean another drive, external or internal. Network if the machine is Networked with other machines through your router

4. Click the Finish button to start the imaging

Macrium requires the use of DVD-RW disks. It will not let you use DVD-R. It told me that itself last week.

I guess that is the problem force, all I have is DVD-R.
As far as I'd get in the backup process is shown in the attached, the waiting for device bar popup, the green bar would continue moving with no results that I could see. I've let it run like that for 80 minutes thinking maybe it takes that long to backup.
