Question DRM music files won't play

Hope this is the right Forum !

I have several music files on my computer that I saved from CD's that I purchased several years ago. Some of them will play with VLC media player but some are DRM and will not play. is there a free way way round this ?

First of all, avoid programs that claim to remove DRM. Since it is not possible to crack the DRM that's in place, most programs don't work. Instead, they often come bundled with malware and adware that you don't want.

Try looking through the information here concerning using Windows Media Player to play DRM files. Says it is for Windows 7 but info should be pretty much the same for all operating systems

You're welcome. Honestly have no idea if it is complicated or not. Those were the first two links I got by searching just using your thread title, DRM music files won't play
