Help with wireless headphones

I thought I posted this in the wrong forum, looked so I could move it and couldn't find it so trying again -

I work from a home studio and would love a wireless headset for music and podcasts while I move around from machine to machine, table to table. I made my couple-times-a-year trip to Costco yesterday (2 hrs., one-way) and the electronics guy sold me a set that will not work with a computer, only a bunch of other stuff I don't own. At least that's what the product's tech support told me when I called. Questions:

Everything is 'Bluetooth', whatever that is. My computer does not show 'Bluetooth' anything in 'Devices'. How do I get 'Bluetooth'? Is it free or do I need to buy? What headphones do I need for a desktop computer - not a phone or pad or whatever. Do any of my questions make any sense?

Thanks for any help.

Here is the information from How to Geek on what you need to add Bluetooth to a desktop computer, they rarely have bluetooth included.

Here also is a link to Amazon where you can get the Bluetooth dongle and various headphones to use with it. There are many other places of course to get both but you can order from Amazon and that would save you the gas and time your 2 hrs., one-way to Costco. Cost possibly would be the same or less for that matter going through Amazon and if you don't like what you get then returns are very easy too.
