Replacement Outlook Espress

Friend sent me this question and I wondered if anyone has tried this program or anyone would like to comment on it. I have heard many people complain that they miss Outlook Express and Windows Mail.

Lester
Aside from the below photo’s, what do you think of the
Mail site download just below this.
The new outlook express.

Outlook Express ceased development with the release of Vista and Windows Mail ceased development with the release of Windows 7.

OE Classic is not new, it has been available for 7 years, since early 2010, about 6 months after the release of Windows 7.
OE Classic used to develop and continually update two versions, OE Classic Free and OE Classic Pro. OE Classic Free is still available but no longer developed or updated. The OE Classic free version also offers no support

OE Classic Free outgoing messages contain ads. If you print a received email that also will contain an ad. There are also third party components used in the Free version of program, this is not the case with the Paid version.

All components used in the Paid version are developed by OE Classic developers and are all updated. There is no advertising in the Paid version. Full support is for the Paid version IS offered to users.

Paid version costs $25.

If your friend wants a Free email program that is similar to Outlook Express have him try Thunderbird by Mozilla, the developers of Firefox browser

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/

Or he can try Windows Live Mail that is a component of Windows Live Essentials. I have used it since the release of Windows 7 and continue to use it on Windows 10. Windows 10 does have its own built in Windows Mail. I tried it and didn't care for it so I went back to Windows Live Mail

What about the date of this "Testimonial" and others? Is it still on going?

Is what still going on? That was just last month, 26 days ago, and probably refers to the latest version 2.6 that was released in December, 2016
