These auto starts can be turned off:
Unless he has paid version of the first three below, there is no reason to have these auto starting and running all the time, the free versions do nothing real time. They are manual use programs only.
CCleaner Monitoring
SUPERAntiSpyware
Malwarebytes TrayApp Malwarebytes
HP.DeliveryAndStatus.Desktop.App.exe - really not necessary unless he prints from an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch
HPMessageService

The SUPERAntispyware was just updated and run this evening. Couldn't you find the log for the other one? That really is the one that would tell us something. Has a Malwarebytes' scan been run? If so, copy/paste the log, don't do a new scan.

Open CCleaner again, go to Tools and for all of those above choose Disable.
Reboot.
The installed programs look just fine. You said he runs Avira, he does not, he runs Avast.

Has the computer always been slow or is this something brand new?

Is it slow both on and offline?

Could not find the above in CC. No i products.

Only one log in SAS.

Flash drive is good of course! Well since the two logs are clean then let's continue with two more programs just to be sure that there is actually nothing to worry about:

Download AdwCleaner by Xplode from this link:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

Save it to your desktop.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A SPECIALIZED TOOL RUN ONLY WHEN DIRECTED TO DO SO WHEN SPECIFIC TYPES OF MALWARE ARE ALREADY SHOWN via a DDS Scan Logs and/or other tool logs to be on the computer.
IT SHOULD BE RUN ONLY ONE TIME.
THERE ARE TWO STEPS REQUIRED BUT RUN THE TOOL ITSELF ONCE ONLY. IF RUN MORE THAN ONCE THEN ORIGINAL REMOVALS DONE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE SEEN

CLOSE ALL other programs you have running....browsers, email programs. Letting those run while clean up tools to run slows the clean up immensely AND may not allow full clean up because many, if not most tools, cannot clean an open program. So close all that. Only open browser window AFTER the a tool has been run and used to clean and produces a log. Then open the one window and come back here and post the logs required.

Double click AdwCleaner to open it.
1. Hit the Scan button to have AdwCleaner to search your computer for unwanted programs and then display a log showing the various files, folders, and registry entries used by these programs. Once this search is complete you will see the words “PENDING” immediately move on to step 2.
2. NEXT Click on the Clean button, which will cause AdwCleaner to reboot your computer and remove the files and registry entries associated with the various adware that you are removing. On reboot, AdwCleaner will display a log showing the files, folders, and registry entries that were removed. Copy/paste that log here.

Please NOTE there are TWO steps so sure to absolutely BOTH steps before you come back here and post the log.
After seeing the log I will give you the next steps.

Those both were in the startup list that you posted and listed as enabled to auto start when computer boots

Here they are:

Yes HKLM:Run HPMessageService Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP System Event\HPMSGSVC.exe

No you did everything right. You don't see two logs. There is only one log produced. The program runs, it shows that there are items found, you hit Clean and it did as noted in the log:
Quote:
# Mode: Clean
Then as the log shows 4 pieces of malware were removed.

Here is the next tool:

Download Junkware Removal Tool by thisisu

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/down...-removal-tool/

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A SPECIALIZED TOOL RUN ONLY WHEN DIRECTED TO DO SO WHEN SPECIFIC TYPES OF MALWARE ARE ALREADY SHOWN via a DDS Scan Logs and/or other tool logs to be on the computer.
IT SHOULD BE RUN ONLY ONE TIME.

Double click on the new icon to start the program

Right click and select Run as Administrator

Follow the directions in the Black box and the program will run.
Be aware that during the scan your Desktop may disappear and a Windows Explorer window may open. These actions are Normal, DON’T PANIC.
Your computer will not be rebooted, but a logfile will be produced
Please copy/paste it back here –

Again, a couple more malware files removed. Nothing major but they could have contributed to the slow downs.

You might update Malwarebytes' and do one more threat scan. Very often when AdwCleaner and Junkware Removal tool find some things then Malwarebytes' might find something additional.

You can uninstall both AdwCleaner, open the program and go to File, Uninstall. The program will Uninstall.
To remove Junkware Removal tool just right click, delete.

Otherwise, since the computer speed is the same on or offline then I would say you need to do as Wrong# suggested, go to Crucial and test for how much more RAM this computer can handle. Not sure how easy it will be with this laptop to install new RAM. Some laptops make it a bit difficult to do. Desktops are usually very easy to do.

Unless this slowness is brand new then I would say it is the fact that it needs some more RAM to speed it up.

Are you 100% that the program itself is good and not at fault? Have you attempted to download it on to your own computer? Where did the program come from?

Have you checked to be absolutely certain that the Windows 10 is totally up to date? To me it seems there could be an out of date software problem there.

The only thing I know for you to do is have Crash or Sunny check things out. None of us, including yourself, have any way to help or would have any way to find out the reasons. You can wait and hope they see the thread or PM them with all the info.
