71.19% = Firefox (1 browser) vs a total of 28.81% who prefer 5+ other browsers says it all...you are absolutely right Jerry. Not even a contest really, the winner is pretty clear.

Notwithstanding what has been stated on the Browser subject, I can only rely on my personal experience. I have Opera, Firefox, Chrome, etc. I have discovered, much to my delight. that Maxthon is the best Browser for me thus far.

Unsure?. Having used IE for years, I then moved back and forth between FF & Chrome, FF being my favoured browser. But suddenly FF started shooting up pop-boxes telling me there were issues with "flash" I think it was. I couldn't resolve it so uninstalled Ff completely and concentrated my time with chrome.

When opening emails in chrome, if there is a photo I like to save to picasa and for whatever reason, it was a nightmare. So if an email has a photo, I revert to IE and view/send from there, effortlessly.

So whilst I am reasonably happy, both browsers set up to "look" the same, in as much as all my favourites are stored in folders ie mine/wife's/phones/travel/newspapers/TV etc, they take up less room along the screen. Ideally I would have them on the left side as a drop down feature. (as in FF). IE will allow it, but Chrome doesn't.

It looks to me as though the time is rapidly drawing close to trying FF once again. What I would like, is for one of you techie guys to stay close, so that if the wretched pop-up box appears again, I can copy it and show you to seek your advice. In fact I will go and do it now.

That was simple and I have jumped round looking at favourite pages load (recently upgraded to fibre optic) and thus far, no boxes. Oh, I have FF 21

OK, so the version I have is 21. I have my favourites along the top with the *bookmarks on the far right. I would like somehow to have the favourites hidden on the left side accessible by clicking something. Is this possible? (going out for part day, but will make this my first port of call when home)

If anyone answers my previous post, maybe they would consider this question please.

Now I have my favourites on the left in IE, there isn't a need for the url. Is there an easy way to remove it? please?

The thread is a Poll thread asking what browsers people use and begun 18 months ago, not one where people would give answers to problems. In fact your first reply here is the only one since last year.

You should start a new thread in PC Help, with ALL of the questions you have asked here today and you will get answers to most questions right away.

I think I tried Iron a while back, but it did not have the TAB option, do they have it now?

This is the ALTERNATIVE BROWSERS forum, so I see no harm in asking questions about different browser. I don't see any sense in starting a whole new string for one simple question about a browser.

Google Chrome works for me. It is in fact the only one that seems to work. I have gotten used to it and am satisfied.
