I want to thank everyone that has been so kind as to help me.
I will try about any and everything to get this darn thing fixed or changed.
Will let you know in the near future if they worked.
I downloaded AdAware and ran it and got rid of everything except one item that it couldn't get rid of. Will see what happens when I start to brows.
Agair thanks to everyone for there help.

At one point in time, that company was on a list of Rogue AntiSpyware. They are making steps to rid themselves of that title now, but I still do not, would not, trust them.
There are so many good, free ones, that you don't need to buy it. Now that you did, either return it if you can, or count your losses and put it aside for now.

Read more here.

There are a few scanners that have false-positives but the main one's like Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D are safe to delete all. Keep in mind that some spyware/Adware could be programs on your computer and they won't work anymore, but that's a good thing.

How to use Ad-Aware SE

How to use Spybot S&D

I suggest keeping I.E. but only using it to get critcal updates at the Windows Update site.
The top 2 browsers I recommend are Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or Opera 7.54u2.
These two browsers lack activex controls which is a main cause of browser hijacks.

If you install these browsers, you'll need Sun Java rather than Microsoft VM java.

CWShredder is only a program that I recommend one uses if they think they have any CWS (CoolWebShredder) variant on their computer. It won't protect you from getting it, only the ability to get rid of it once infected by it.
It is small and only runs when you run it, so really it comes down to choice and if you think you have this kind of spyware.

Hi,

Boy, my luck must be getting better, I was just about to add a post for this very subject. Just finish reading through the post and have a couple of questions, hope they don't sound too dumb. Early in the post it was stated to run a ("AV" and "AT") as well as ("Add blocker" and "Pop up blocker"), are you saying these are separate programs. I thought "AV and "AT" were one of the same as well as "Add blocker and Pop up blocker" were one of the same program. Then again maybe that's why I having problems.

At present I'm running Norton System Works (AV, Pop up blocker and Firewall) and Spybot, thought I was safe with that installed, guess not.

Thanks,
Craig

AntiVirus scanners protect you from basically just viruses, while trojans are different.
AV's don't do a great job at getting trojans.
Many people here you a2 Free to do that job.

Add Blockers block webpage ads (these are not popups), and that's where the difference is, Craig.
