Please note that the WinZip setup tries to install AVG Security Toolbar and sets AVG secure search as your browser homepage.
be aware.

Why would someone want to install another zip program when there is one built into Windows anyways? It always worked for me.

Exclamation

Winzip has been around for years and with the competition like Winrar,7zip or many others must be feeling the pressure if they have to resort to this crap.

Just goes to show how much money Grisoft [AVG] shells out for ads.

As to the default zip program in Windows,it doesn't have half the options that the others do.

It may not have "half the options", but it does the job and doesn't have the crap that you may get from D/L other programs.

No different that other programs that shell out money for their stuff. Adobe being the first thing that comes to my mind.

Winrar and 7zip are great programs, that are definitely more favorable to use instead of the default Windows app.

You're right Harley. I've used 7zip since winzip got too demanding & added extras. I've never used the default on W7, as I never think of it. I install 7zip on all pc's, instantly.
