Google Chrome does not install completely
Attempted to install Google Chrome browser but it looks like it doesn't complete the process.
Installer program downloads the actual file and starts the install process. At some point (no indicators), it disappears with no completion or error message. Tried running Chrome from the Program list(entry for run or uninstall) and nothing happens. Checked Program Folder and Application Data folder and there is nothing in either. Apparently the install process stops. Tried to uninstall and nothing. Had to reboot in SAFE mode to uninstall. Tried several times with same results. Also tried to install when computer in Safe Mode with internet connection but got an error message that the installer does not work in safe mode. Suggestions. XP Pro with SP3

My advice, this is beta version (test) why not wait until the kinks are worked out.
When I checked their download page I didn't care for the Accept and Install rather than just Accept when reading the disclaimers. I would prefer the option to be able to save it and then install it.

I will continue to use Firefox for the foreseeable future. It is my favourite browser.

Although I agree with both of you, it's a beta and use of Firefox, I was somewhat surprised that the install process would not complete and that it took significantly more than novice effort to clean up the mess.
I expected to install the program and "poke around a bit" and then go back and use Firefox for my "real browser"

As it's a beta, and betas are for user testing, you should be telling Google your problems, not us.

Use System Restore to Undo Changes if Problems Occur
Another option Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Remove unwanted programs and traces easily http://www.revouninstaller.com/

kinda like what everyone said already it is a beta version. But I also understand it's new and you wanna check it out. I was going to say what Paul D said and tell it to Google so maybe they can do whatever it is that the all mighty google does..lol
