SUPERFISH and how to get rid of it??

I have recently seen this superfish.com in my no script and did some research on it and apparently this is malware that has been installed with the update to the IETab extension. I have set the IETab Plus to basic mode like some suggest, but I don't feel comfortable with just doing that. Is there a safer and more thorough way to rid myself of this superfish without having to uninstall IETab Plus? Here are some links I was reading that suggested some options for ridding yourself of this malware, but I prefer to ask here for a more reliable fix.

No Script is blocking this for now, but I want to be able to have the IETab option and no malware, any suggestions?

Always use the https site for addons.

Harley, when I search for add-ons, I use the "browse all add-ons" button which takes me to the https page every time and then I install from there. If I am not mistaken this all happened when IETab updated recently. I will uninstall what I have and install the version you provided. Thank you!

NOTE: Beginning with v1.95.20100930, IE Tab Plus now includes the optional Price Comparison feature powered by Superfish. Price Compare uses sophisticated visual search technology to find you deals while you shop on hundreds of U.S. merchant sites. This feature is by default disabled and will only be enabled in "Featured Mode" or "Advanced Mode". If you try it and still wish to disable the feature, just go to the Settings window and select Basic mode. However, if you really don't like this extra plugin, you can also uninstall this version and try a clean version: IE Tab Plus v1.95.20100930 (FF 3.6+, No Adware, Absolutely Clean), from AMO. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/52809/
This version is similar to older versions without the Price Comparison feature.
I stopped using this a long time ago. There are very few sites anymore that require using IE. About the only one I use would be the Windows Update. Otherwise even online scanners today, ESET being the one that comes to mind, no longer requires the use of IE.

I was thinking that very thing Judy..I only need IE for updates and really haven't utilized that IETab for anything else recently other than viewing my forum and how it displays in IE vs. Firefox since I have members that experience some issues in IE. I can always just go straight to IE and log on rather than have this extension. Thanks for the input.
