remember tracy?

she's doing great and came home today after 2 weeks at the vet.
she had to have everything from her shoulder blade down removed. it's amazing that she actually walks better than before.
this one has made me cry more that once!!

Another??

You "COULD" call her "Rithmetic"!

She puts down 3 & carries one. Well that's a lie as she puts down 3 & carries none!!
Glad to see her up & around, & looking forward to some happiness to her life!! Great for you! George.

well , tracy , has really started to whine today!!
this is a very good sign. she's very tired of her kennel and is beginning to want out of it. i think she is ready to join the real world again. it's just she still has the stitches in and they will not be removed until friday. she seems to be doing very well and has that spark of life back in her eyes.
HOORAY!!!!!!
gawd , i'll be glad when the stitches come out because she NEEDS a BATH sooooo bad..it's just she stinks soooo bad!!

that's great news rob! Not the stinky part, the healing part What about a dry bath to hold her til she can have a real bath? Sprinkle powder on her and brush. Or you can dampen her(not the incision area, of course you know that) with a slight spray of water and wipe with a fabric softener sheet. This wks great when our mutts get wet outside....freshens their coats and safe to use.

That's great. Roy!

She's got some big ol' ears! Is the Boston Terrier one of those breeds that people get their ears cut? That doesn't make much sense to me, or cutting their tails off either.

i agree dave but that's how it is.
when asked about taking a leg off our vet said it ranked right up there to ''clipping tails, snipping ears and declawing cats '' to him.
it just isn't doing any good.
some show bostons do get their ears clipped but not many.

Our son has a Great Dane, he got her ears docked when she was very young. I've seen pics of them without and they don't look like what we think of Great Danes, more like a Lab of some sort. I wonder who first looked at a Dane and thought"That dog would look better with it's ears standing up"...?

lai,
i don't think docked ears came from that. it's a better assumption that it came from the fight ring. smaller ears = less to get bit off.
