Question How do you get rid of files that won't go away in your add remove programs?

I have a couple of programs that I uninstalled, but they are still listed in my add remove programs. Without playing around with the registry is there any other way to get rid of them?? Is there any free programs out there that will do this?

You can download reg cleaner from below link and select the uninstall menu tab and remove the entry from there. Is this what you wanted?

The registry way of doing it.
In the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall

Go for further details to this page from microsoft.

If you do not want to work in the registry then you should download and isntall tweakui. This way you will not have to manually do the work in the registry .

If you double-click on one of the orphaned Add/Remove entries, you might (or might not!) be prompted as to whether you want the entry deleted.
